Circle and IBM have collaborated closely with mainframe technology for many
years. During the 1980s and 1990s, Circle developed many of the CICS
and DB2 education materials which are still delivered to IBM clients
around the world.
More recently, with
an increased focus on migration solutions, Circle has worked
closely with IBM's Hursley Laboratory on the development of
IBM's CICS VSAM transparency for z/OS® product,
which is based
substantially on Circle's VS/2 technology. This resulted in IBM entering
into an OEM Agreement to distribute the solution on a global basis.
